Excel is not really the competitor. The Friday ritual is: two to four hours copying numbers from per-project sheets into one master view, so you have something to bring to the Monday meeting. Vaizy is what happens when that view already exists.

The short version
Getting the portfolio view
Assembled by hand from per-project tabs, usually once a week, right before a status meeting.
Vaizy
Select multiple projects and see combined cash flow, shared team load, and risk in one view, automatically, any day of the week.
Budget health (EVM)
Either done manually with formulas that need constant upkeep, or skipped because the setup takes too long.
Vaizy
CPI, SPI, and cost variance calculate automatically from your live milestone and financial data.
When a cell reference breaks
Someone eventually finds the broken formula, usually after a wrong number has already been reported.
Vaizy
There are no formulas to maintain. The data model updates itself as milestones, budgets, and team allocations change.
AI on your data
None, unless someone copies portfolio numbers into a general-purpose AI tool by hand, which raises its own data questions.
Vaizy
Ask questions about your own projects and get answers grounded in your live workspace. Hosted and processed in the EU.
What happens when the file owner leaves
The next person inherits fourteen tabs, some broken formulas, and no documentation of how it all fits together.
Vaizy
The workspace is shared and structured from the start. No single point of failure.
What the Friday ritual actually costs
Nobody chose to build a manual reporting process. It grew, one project and one tab at a time, until keeping it running became a quiet part of the job. Here is what it looks like from the inside, and what changes when it becomes a live system.
The Friday ritual
Every Friday, two to four hours go into copying numbers from per-project sheets into one master tab, so leadership has something to look at Monday.
With Vaizy
The portfolio view exists continuously. There is nothing to assemble because nothing was ever disassembled in the first place.
The Friday ritual
A contractor working 60 percent on one project and 40 percent on another gets allocated by hand, and the split is easy to get wrong.
With Vaizy
Costs for salaried and contractor time are prorated correctly across project allocations, without a manual step.
The Friday ritual
A budget problem is usually discovered when someone asks about it in a meeting, not when it first appears in the numbers.
With Vaizy
Budget health metrics update automatically, so a problem is visible as soon as it exists, not once a week.
The Friday ritual
Giving a client or junior team member visibility means sending a copy of the file, with all its other tabs and other people's numbers exposed.
With Vaizy
Member accounts get a scoped view of their own work, without access to financials or other people's data.

How pricing compares
Bundled into a Microsoft 365 subscription you likely already pay for. The direct cost is close to zero, the ongoing cost is the manual assembly work.
Vaizy
Vaizy uses transparent, self-serve, per-seat pricing for Manager accounts, published on the pricing page with Essential and Pro tiers billed monthly or annually, plus an Enterprise tier available on request. Team members who need a scoped view get a free Member account, with a limited number included on every Manager tier. Nothing requires a sales call to see the price.
Common questions
Is Vaizy trying to replace Excel entirely?
No. Excel is a fine tool for a lot of things. Vaizy replaces the specific role Excel plays as a manual portfolio rollup, the master sheet you rebuild every week to see cash flow, team load, and risk across all your projects at once.
Can I bring my existing Excel workbook into Vaizy?
Yes. Import projects, milestones, team, risks, and budgets from your existing spreadsheets, with column matching and validation before anything is published. Your structure does not need to match Vaizy's before you start.
What if my Excel system already works well enough?
If it takes less than an hour a week and nothing has ever gone unnoticed until it was too late, it may genuinely be working for you. Vaizy is built for the point where the assembly time and the risk of missing something have both grown past what feels comfortable.
Why does EU hosting matter?
Vaizy is incorporated and hosted in the European Union, and is not subject to the US CLOUD Act or any non-European jurisdiction. For teams handling client financial data under GDPR, that is often a requirement, not a preference.
